URUAN VICE CHAIRMAN FETES NORTHERN URUAN WARD 2 POLITICAL STAKEHOLDERS
sues for unity and peaceful coexistence!
Stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) comprising of party officers of Northern Uruan Ward 2, were hosted by the Vice Chairman of Uruan Local Government Area, Hon (Evang.) Uduak Daniel Udoenang (JP) at the Ward headquarters, Ibiaku Uruan on Wednesday, July 21,2021.
The musician cum politician stated that the parley, is what she considers as a routine, to maintain cordial relationship with her kinsmen who form a political base for her. Also to thank them for the will to support and elect her boss, Hon. Surv. Iniobong Ekpenyong as the Chairman of Uruan Local Government Area, as well as the overall support to His Excellency, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel and her Excellency Dr. Martha Udom Emmanuel towards ensuring a total execution of the Completion Agenda.
The meeting, she noted, was not factional or delegate- centric, but was intended to strengthen the bond of togetherness and drum support for the leader of the party in the state, and those in positions of authority from the ward. She declared her tremendous respect for the working Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey for his unflinching support to ensure an equitable distribution of democratic dividends to the people of Uruan Local Government Area which culminated to her emergence as the council Vice Chairman from North 2.
As the first female Vice Chairman of the Council, she attributed her emergence to Her Excellency, Dr. Martha Udom Emmanuel who has assisted women in Akwa Ibom State to assume their rightful and God-given positions. She asked God to bless her and endow her with more wisdom.
Hon. Uduak Udoenang pleaded for total support of Gov. Udom Emmanuel’s Completion Agenda, which according to her will involve the execution of the Governor’s succession plan. She said the people should gear up towards nominating and electing God’s anointed candidate of PDP extraction for Akwa Ibom State number one seat and other offices come 2023. She however, pledged her unalloyed support, saying “the ward will do everything within its powers to ensure Governor Udom Emmanuel’s government ends well come 2023 for the good of the Ward and the state in general.”
The Deputy Leader of Northern Uruan ward 2, Hon. Frank Ambawills in his remarks thanked the Vice Chairman and the entire people of North 2 for the unity movement organized through such an expensive meeting. He urged the people to see unity as top priority and shun blackmail. He promised an overwhelming support of the citizenry to both the Local Government and State Government.
In another remark, former Permanent Secretary in the state and one of the famous Leader in Northern Uruan ward 2, Elder Offiong Eduongo urged both the Elders/Stakeholders and Party faithfuls to be more serious about the unity and growth of the ward and of course the Peoples Democratic Party. As a leader, he further pledged his ever readiness to make the ward a unique place within his capacity.
Former Chairman of Uruan L.G.A, Hon. Sylvester Ita Essien enjoined the Elders/Stakeholders and Party Officers in the ward to always work assiduously in making the entire people of the ward queue behind the Governor who, he noted, is offering exemplary leadership at the helm of the affairs. He reiterated that, with her action, there is room for improvement in the quest to collapse all interest and forge a united front.
In summary, the Uruan Vice Chairman, Evang. Hon. Uduak Daniel Udoenang JP corroborated the views of all and further preached the message of love, togetherness and unity and enjoined the good people of Northern Uruan ward 2 to lead by example as great people and great Akwa Ibomites.
Other speakers like Rev. Joseph Ita, Effiong Nyong Iweh, Eteobom Mkparawa Mbakwe, Mrs. Cholastistca Ekpenyong in their goodwill messages described the meeting as timely and commended the VC for bringing the Elders/Stakeholders and Party together. They applauded Govenror Emmanuel for the ongoing construction of Nduetong Oku, Ibiaku Uruan, Utit Uruan and Ekit Itam Road, and appealed for its timely completion and commissioning.
The speakers also applauded the appointment of two of their illustrious sons, Mr. Victor Ibanga and Ini Ekpo as Special Assistants to the Governor. A consensus was reached that the meeting be held regularly in order to strengthen the bond of love and treat important matters when need arises. It was also agreed that having seen the good work of Governor Udom Emmanuel in the Ward and the entire Local Government, he will continue to enjoy the support of the good people of Northern Uruan Ward 2 even beyond 2023.
